Elderflower Citrus is a new Stash Tea blend for 2019. The soft and distinctly sweet floral flavor of elderflower blossom pairs perfectly with white tea. We’ve added a fresh citrus note with the bright flavor of yuzu, for a well-rounded and inspiring blend.

Steeping Instructions
3-4 minutes, 170-180 °F (77-82 °C), use 8 fl oz (240 ml) water.

WHITE TEA

Minimally processed and air-dried, white tea is full-bodied in mouthfeel yet delicate in flavor. This refined balance creates an exquisite base for blending with botanicals and other nuanced flavors. Our teamakers sampled dozens of white teas before finding a varietal that provided the ideal foundation for enhancing the notes of elderflower and yuzu. Chamomile adds another dimension of depth and invites additional color into the brewed tea.  

ELDERFLOWER

Found flourishing wildly throughout the countryside of the United Kingdom, elderflower is the white, honey-scented blossom of the elderberry bush. Unlike other florals such as rose or lavender, elderflower is delicate in flavor, which reveals an intriguing and captivating sweetness. A botanical that has been infused into syrups and spirits as far back as the Roman era, elderflower adds both fragrance and flavor that is sweetly reminiscent of a field of spring flowers.

YUZU CITRUS

Yuzu is a distinctive citrus fruit native to Japan, best described as a cross between a mandarin and a kaffir lime. Prized in the culinary world for its memorable taste and incredibly fragrant aroma, yuzu is commonly found in Asian cuisines in everything from savory sauces to sweet desserts and cocktails. Yuzu imparts a unique flavor that is bright and refreshing yet less tart than other citrus varieties, making it a beautiful complement to the delicate floral flavor in this blend.
